Deandre Edmund Brown, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself in to the Michigan State Police this morning after a week-long man-hunt. It is alleged that around 11:00 p.m. on July 22nd, Brown, armed with a gun, approached his ex-girlfriend as she was getting in her car after work. He reportedly robbed her and ordered the woman to an abandoned school where he allegedly raped her. Brown then ordered her to drive around and repeatedly threatened to kill her as well as himself. After several hours, he jumped out of the car and ran.
Brown was arraigned at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township on two charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, assault, carjacking, unlawful imprisonment and armed robbery.
