Man Arraigned In Robbery of Pharmacy

A Rite Aid Pharmacy in Canton was robbed Saturday. The robber was not seeking cash but instead, wanted narcotics.
It is being reported that 30-year-old Jeremy James Hurt gave the pharmacist a note demanding narcotics, indicating that he had a gun. He allegedly jumped onto the counter, grabbed the drugs and ran. Police later found Hurt and he has been arraigned on charges of armed robbery and larceny. Bail has been set at $50,000. A preliminary exam has been scheduled for August 20th at the 35th District Court in Plymouth.
