Police Find Gun and Drugs In Traffic Stop
Posted By Freedman & Freedman on Aug 9, 2010 11:34am PDT
Cedric Lee Goliday, 27, of Superior Township was arrested Thursday night following a traffic stop - only it was not his driving that precipitated the arrest, it was what the police found. When Pittsfield Township police pulled over Goliday, they found a handgun, what appeared to be marijuana, and a police scanner. Goliday was arraigned today on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.
Weapons charges are serious. A person may face criminal charges for the unlawful possession or sale of a deadly weapon or firearm, as well as face enhanced penalties for carrying or using a weapon in the commission of a crime. In Michigan, all weapon offenses are harshly prosecuted.
