Woman Who Crashed Into Bicyclist Violated “Super Drunk” Law
According to Saginaw County Sheriff Department, a woman from Swan Creek Township crashed her truck into a man who was riding his bicycle on Swan Creek just past Trimm yesterday. The man suffered broken ribs and internal injuries as well as other injuries. It is being reported that the woman was driving after drinking at a bar and “noticeably hit something but was unsure as to what it was.” She allegedly continued driving and only learned that she had struck the man after arriving at a family member’s home. The woman called 911 and turned herself in. Her blood alcohol content was allegedly 0.206, approximately 2.5 times the legal limit. If she is charged under the new “Super Drunk” law, she will face much stiffer punishment.
