Nap On I-75 Leads to Arrest
At approximately 12:43 a.m. Monday, Troy police officers were driving southbound on I-75, south of Rochester Road, when they came upon a vehicle stopped in the center lane. It is being reported that the vehicle was stopped on a curve and several other drivers had to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting the stopped car. When the officers approached the car, it was still running and in drive.
Police are alleging that the driver, Miguel Angel Rojas-Villanueva was passed out drunk in the driver's seat. He was arraigned in the 52-4 District Court on Monday. He is being charged with two counts of drunken driving, two counts of driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics. Police have indicated that Rojas-Villanueva was wanted for previous charges of drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics.
