All Charges Against Wife Dropped
At a preliminary exam today, all charges against Laura Johnson were dropped. Johnson had previously been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license in the death of her husband Lloyd Johnson. Police had found a large pool of blood in the bed where Johnson had been lying as well as human tissue in the freezer, some labeled as belonging to Johnson. Children of Lloyd Johnson from a previous marriage reportedly provided statements to the police that put into question whether Laura Johnson had killed her husband. However, the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s findings clearly indicated that the Johnson’s death was an accident. Laura Johnson had been released from jail on Monday night.
