Intoxicated Man “Tasered” Following Crash

A man reported to be “highly intoxicated” was tasered by police following a crash late Saturday.  The 55-year-old man from Paw Paw allegedly drove his 2003 Sierra pickup truck off the road in Paw Paw Township and ran over a small fishing boat before crashing into a ditch.  It is being reported that when police arrived on the scene, the man was uncooperative and refused to let go of the steering wheel until he was tasered by officers and pulled from the car.  He was then taken to jail on charges of drunken driving and obstructing a police officer.
