Wife Released From Jail; ME Rules Husband’s Death An Accident
Last night, Laura Johnson was released from jail on personal bond after prosecutors revealed they are not sure the requisite proof that she killed her husband. Mrs. Johnson was arrested last week and charged with second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a license in the death of her husband, Lloyd Johnson, last Wednesday. A search warrant had resulted in the seizure of bloody bedding, needles and syringes and human tissue. A family dog had also been found dead.
Today it is being reported that Oakland County Medical Examiner, L.J. Dragovic is ruling Mr. Johnson's death an accident. Dragovic has indicated that Johnson's death was caused by complications arising from an old open wound he received in a boating accident. Also contributing to his death were a number of medical conditions including diabetes and morbid obesity.
