Police Arrest Man Found Sleeping In Car Outside Party Store

A 50-year-old man from Jackson was allegedly passed out in his car in the parking lot of the North Side Party Store on Cooper Street in Jackson.  An employee noticed the man and called the police.  When they arrived on the scene, the police allegedly found the man lying across the front seat, asleep, with the car running.  The man reportedly struck out at the officer when he woke up.  Police claim that the man had a blood alcohol level of 0.26.  The man was arrested for OWI and resisting and obstructing.
