Man Arrested For Third OWI Offense
It is being reported that as an officer was on patrol on M-5 in Farmington Hills, he observed a vehicle drift off the roadway past the rumble strips – 3 times. The officer stopped the vehicle and approached the male driver. Officials claim that the man looked blankly at the officer and rolled down the rear passenger window before rolling down the driver's window. The officer claims to have smelled alcohol immediately and had the man perform field sobriety tests, which he allegedly failed. It is also being reported that the driver refused to take the PBT (preliminary breath test). The man was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving. He has been convicted of drunken driving on two prior occasions.
