Man Arrested For Operating Under The Influence Of Drugs
It is being reported that on March 26th, police pulled over a 25-year-old man from
Mt.
Morris as he was driving in
Grand
Blanc
Township
.
It is alleged that when police approached the car, they noticed the odor of
marijuana and the driver had glassy, bloodshot eyes.
In response to questioning, the driver indicated that his cousin may have smoked
marijuana in the car earlier.
When asked whether he smoked, the driver reportedly told police that he smoked earlier that morning.
Police claim that the driver then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
A search of the car supposedly resulted in the police finding 11.88 grams of
marijuana in the center console.
The driver was then transported to the Genesee County Jail where blood was drawn.
If you have been arrested on a drug crime,
DUI or
OWI, letting a
Michigan drug crimes lawyer and/or a
Michigan
drunk driving lawyerreview your case is one of the most important things you can do. You need someone on your side in court. By conducting an independent investigation, your lawyer may discover that law enforcement actually did not conduct a valid search and that the evidence obtained during that search may be inadmissible. This alone would greatly impact a case. You have the right to be protected from an unlawful search and seizure by law enforcement personnel. You also have the right to legal counsel in the face of any criminal charges, and this includes drug crimes.
